A Monthly Newsletter from Dave & Jennifer Lowe
School Starts Soon!
Dave and I are off and running as the fall semester starts on August 25 for Fresno State.
One exciting new development in our ministry is the fact that Dave is now working on the
campus of Fresno City College! Yesterday was the first day of classes at City College, and Dave was out
on campus doing questionnaires with students. You can be praying for Dave as he begins to meet with
students and start a ministry there.
Things are very hectic in the Lowe household! We have many things on our plate as we start the
semester. There are many things in our schedule thefirst few weeks of school: meeting with students,
doing surveys on campus and setting up bible studies.
Our Awesome Summer
Dave and I had an AWESOME summer in Colorado taking classes! It had been a long time
since Dave and I have had the opportunity to take some classes and really dig deep into God’s Word.
We took four classes: Christian Worldview, Church History, Man/Christ/Salvation, and
Effectively Communicating Biblical Truth. I think our favorite class was Christian Worldview because
we were able to learn more about other worldviews, and what the Christian worldview is. This class will
really help us as we relate to students and share Christ with them.
I also learned a lot about how to give a talk on biblical principles. In our class “Effectively
Communicating Biblical Truth”, we had to come up with two outlines for talks and share them with the
class. I had a lot of fun developing some talks on biblical truths.
National Conference News
After our classes were over in Colorado we had our National Conference for 10 days at Colorado
State (where we had our classes).
The National Conference is such a great time for staff to get together and hear about what is
going on in other parts of the world. This year was particularly exciting because there were many
international staff at the Conference. The first night of the National Conference they had a parade of
flags. The national staff came in carrying a flag from their country. There were 172 flags countries that
were represented. It really brought tears to my eyes to see all of the countries where Christ is being
proclaimed.
The speakers at the National Conference were very challenging. They encouraged Dave and I to
press on in our ministry and remember our calling to share Christ with all who will listen.
Thank you for your partnership with us in ministry. We are grateful for you!
Prayer Requests
1. Pray that the freshman students will be open to hearing the gospel, and that many
students would come to know Christ in a personal way.
2. Pray that our students will see the importance of doing evangelism.
3. Pray that Dave and I will stay focused and not get burned out.
