A Monthly Newsletter from Dave & Jennifer Lowe
Jennifer and I just returned from our regional conference where we spent a week talking about what we believe the Lord wants to accomplish through our ministry in the Fall.
It was a great time for Jennifer and me to dream about our future ministry in Davis However, as reality began to sink in, our excitement became tempered by an overwhelming sense of inadequacy.
The task before us is huge, yet we serve a huge God Who is able to accomplish all that He desires in us and through us.
With all of this in mind, Jennifer and I desperately need your prayers.
There are two general areas of prayer that we need.
First of all, we need personal prayer. Secondly, we need you to pray for those to whom we will be ministering.
A top priority for us is to find housing. We have a lead on an apartment that we hope will be available over the summer.
Therefore, pray that this apartment would become available and that we would be able to move sometime during August.
Jennifer and I will be doing a lot of traveling over the summer. Pray that
the Lord will protect us as we travel.
One of the highlights of our summer will be the training we receive while we are in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Pray that the Lord would teach us all that we need to know to be effective leaders at UC Davis. Pray also that the Lord will give us wisdom as we make plans for the fall quarter.
Jennifer and I know that building a strong, healthy ministry will take a few years. We are hoping to build a ministry by reaching out to and raising up freshman who will be the foundation of our leadership within a few years.
Please begin to pray now for the freshman whom we
will encounter in the fall. Pray that the Lord would make them
incredibly open to the gospel and pray that we would have opportunities to reach out to them. Pray even that the Lord would bring about circumstances in their lives this summer that will cause them to be more open to Christ in the Fall.
In the coming months, we'll continue to remind you about the need to pray and trust the Lord together. Together, we'll see the Lord do a marvelous work amongst us.

Starting a new ministry isn't easy. Not only do we need to build up our student base, but we also need
to build up our base of ministry materials. There are a lot of different materials that we will need in order
to get off to a successful start. We'll need written materials like Bibles, tracts and other literature, as well
as physical materials like a table, plastic brochure holders, and an overhead projector. For a complete list
