December was an exciting month for our group at UC Davis. For Dave and I, it was a time to look back on our first quarter here and praise God for what He has done.

We had a Christmas party at our little apartment, and 23 students came. What was so exciting to see was that there were quite a few non-Christians that came as a result of being invited by their friends who are involved with our group. The party was a wonderful time for our students to hang out and have fun.

On December 27-Jan. 1 we had 6 of our students attend the Christmas Conference. They all had an awesome time, and now that the new quarter has started, they are putting into practice some of the things that they learned at the Conference.

For many of the students, the highlight of the Conference for them was the Day of Outreach. On the 29th the students at the Conference get a chance to go out into the community and share the love of Christ.

One of our students named Fred had the privilege of sharing with a man who accepted Christ! Fred was so excited that he got up in front of all 1,000 students the night of the 29th to share what God had done.

One of the biggest things that the Conference did was to give our students a vision about what our group could look like here at UC Davis. These 6 students came back from the Conference with a heart to reach those who don’t know Christ on their campus. When we got back and began to brainstorm about what the theme of our weekly meeting should be, all the students agreed that the theme should be evangelism, and how to reach the campus.

Dave and I are constantly amazed at how excited and motivated the students have been about reaching the campus. The Christmas Conference definitely had a hand in enlarging the vision of the students and showing them how they can be used by God.
